Welcome to Personal Dutch. My name is Kim, and I have a passion for teaching Dutch to both kids and adults. With a background in clinical psychology from the University of Amsterdam, along with my teaching degree, I am equipped with the knowledge and experience to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.
Having taught Dutch for over 15 years, I understand the importance of tailoring lessons to suit the needs and interests of my students. Through interactive and engaging activities, I make learning the Dutch language a fun and exciting journey. Additionally, I provide workshops to teachers, sharing valuable insights and strategies to enhance their teaching techniques. I have also authored several books specifically designed for Dutch language learners, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching learning experience for all.
The first book I wrote was for Young Dutch language learners. I started this project because there was nothing out there specifically created for them. Most materials were, quite frankly, a bit boring, and for that reason not very motivating. My books are specially designed to captivate the interest of students, making their language learning journey a fun and enjoyable experience. Through colorful illustrations, interactive activities, and age-appropriate content, I aim to stimulate their curiosity and foster a love for the Dutch language.
